There will be no paid subscription to the streaming service, but users will see ads when watching a video. The platform is available in more than 200 countries, including Russia.   The service catalog includes products from Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM), Legendary, Lionsgate and Warner Bros. With the latest Plex teamed up in September this year to launch a streaming platform. In addition to well-known titles, the platform contains the work of independent studios.    The Plex application can be downloaded by owners of Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV consoles, as well as users of devices running on iOS and Android.    The platform is free, but advertisements will be shown to viewers, including Plex Pass subscribers. The creators promise that ad units will not exceed a third of their counterparts on cable television.    Plex video quality is 1080p. The application can remember the progress of viewing the video and synchronizes it between devices.    “What started over a decade ago as a passionate project to simplify access to multimedia on connected devices has become the industry’s most comprehensive streaming platform, used by millions of people around the world,” said Plex CEO Valory.    The company promises to improve subtitle support and other site features in the future.    At the end of November, Plex and Tidal streaming service announced a partnership. Now Plex Pass owners can purchase a subscription to the Tidal music catalog for $ 8.99, the rest will cost $ 9.99. Access to Tidal Hi-Fi will add another $ 10.    Disney Plus streaming service was launched in mid-November. The launch of the platform in three countries was accompanied by user complaints about problems with authorization and changing the format of some TV shows. The cost of a monthly Disney + subscription is $ 6.99.    Earlier in the Russian Federation, the AppleTV + video streaming platform became available. The service was launched with Russian subtitles, but without dubbing. Buyers of new Apple devices will be able to use the service for free for a year. AppleTV + monthly subscription costs 199 rubles.
